Multi Agent

Available on Premium licenses only.

The Multi Agent feature allows users to run instances of the agent on multiple machines or servers, enabling distributed execution and greater flexibility in managing workloads.

Key Capabilities

• Multiple Agent Instances Deploy and manage agent instances across multiple machines or servers with the same ID.

• Machine-Specific Execution Choose a default machine for execution or assign specific playlists to run on designated agent instances.

• Instance Visibility View all configured machines and servers directly from the backoffice, giving you full visibility into your distributed environment.

• Each PowerBI Robots Agent can be configured with different SMTP settings, allowing multiple email senders to be used for different playlists.

  For example:

  • Server 1 can send emails using [email protected]

  • Server 2 can send emails using [email protected]

  This flexibility enables targeted communication based on the playlist's audience or purpose.

How It Works

• Install the PowerBI Robots agent on each desired machine or server. Make sure each agent has the correct TenantID added and the agent is synchronized.

• Under Settings -> Server Management.

  • Define Default Server: Configure the default server. This will be the default server to execute the playlists if no other specific server is selected.

  • Define Playlist Server: Select which server will execute each playlist.

  • Agents connected will automatically show in the server list. If you want to update the list, you'll need to refresh the page.

  • You can also enter a server name manually outside of the presented list (make sure the server name is correct and that the Tenant ID is added to the agent and the agent is synchronized).

The Multi Agent feature is only available with Premium licenses. Please upgrade your license or contact support to enable this feature.
